How it works – BikeKIA – bikesharing v Žiline

1. REGISTRATION

Registration is free of charge. You can register here on our webpage or via mobile app BikeKIA. After the registration you can use all shared bicycle schemes in the world operated by nextbike or ARRIVA Slovakia a.s. company! Download the App and rent a bike!

The App is available at AppStore or Google play

HOW TO REGISTER CORRECTLY IN THE APP:

Download the App to your smartphone and press “REGISTER”.
Choose the country – Slovakia and the city – Žilina.
Accept General Terms and Conditions and GDPR.
Enter your phone number and choose “REGISTER”.
You will receive your 6-digit PIN by SMS, finish the registration.
For each additional login to your BikeKIA customer account, you will use this PIN. To activate your account you need to provide payment card details.

2. BIKE RENTAL

Rental is possible via the mobile App BikeKIA only for registered users. You can rent up to 4 bikes at a same time. You can sign in to mobile App BikeKIA by entering your 6-digit PIN, which you received during the registration.

Scan QR code on the bike or enter bike number.
Lock opens automatically.
Now you can pull the bike out of the dock.

3. A HEALTHY 30 MINUTE RIDE

…is free of charge around Žilina thanks to the KIA Foundation. Share your joy from riding with others. The more people ride the bike around the city, the less burden on the traffic. The air is cleaner, the world is more colorful and people are healthier. Bikesharing – around the city faster, green and healthy.

ATTENTION! Bikes have to be returned to an official bike station within 30 minutes of rental. If you exceed 30 min. rental, the following fees will be charged.

4. PARKING

If you need to pause your ride during the rental, you can park the BikeKIA on a safe place or at one of the 21 official bike stations.

Select “PARK” in the App.
Then lock the bike by pressing down the lever at the frame.
To continue the ride press ‘Open lock’ in the App.

Please note that the bicycle must be returned within 30 minutes, including parking time!

5. RETURN

You can return BikeKIA only at one of the 29 official bike stations in Žilina. In order to return the bike lock it by pressing down the lever at the frame at one of the 29 official bike stations. By returning the bike within 30 minutes you ensure, you will not be charged any service fee for the rental.

Push the bike into a dock and lock it by pressing down the lever at the frame.
App rental will be ended automatically.
